It all began around 1980 when DJ Delicate (Warren) first picked up the pirate radio station in London where he was born and Bread.
On the smell of inner city smog and FM Radio waves, growing up as a small boy, born in Hammersmith London, and Living originally in Tottenham, then in and around Hounslow and Hammersmith, his parent were in the Pub Club trade, running venues in and around the capital, no doubt this is where his Music and Promotional Bug Started.
Then around the age of 9 he was up rooted and drooped in some fields just outside Milton Keynes, pure country files, but still with an array of cables hanging all over his bedroom he still was able to pick up his fix of the inner city sound, maybe crackly on a wet night, but still connected, jamming and recording everything onto cassettes, in order to play on the headphones at school, he was hungry for this Underground Music.
Listening was the hobby until he was introduced to a new scene, Dy Na Mix UK, Cosmo Cat, Evil Eddie Richards, here he was introduced to the scene behind the scene, banner back drop designing and painting, flyer design and print, branding, screen printing and how to Decorate a venue correctly, in the days when you spent a whole day creating the atmosphere, that was cosmo cat then we had DyNa Mix UK for those who know of Dy Na Mix and mr Evil Eddie Richards will understand the influence this man and his agency has had on the scene as we know it today ! anyway this is where the DelicateBeats was formed after a steady serving of vinyls from the agency along with weekly record shopping trips with Eddie Richards, he was addicted to this world and borrowed his first set of silver 1200 and from this day forth it became a habit, weekly recording shopping in London flying records, blackmarket, unity, just to name a few but really anywhere in order to get those certain records.
From here he was introduced to Murray Beetson the founder of Dreamscape, and also to the mighty Sanctuary, both became a way of life working every event that was ever held at the Sanctuary never missing anything, the promoter was formed in delicatebeats 1996 then followed The Sanctuary Birthday bash, Steppers. Illsides, Plush etc…nowadays not so much promoting more producing, after an introduction to Mr Cool Hand Flex around 1996 and many nights and years watching Flex work his magic with the breaks DelicateBeats became addicted to this new way, he took his new lessons and went to live in Australia for 4 years, their he went a wondering, with a boot load of records doing his thing here their and everywhere until his Visa ran out by 3 years, slight over stay !
Apon returning to the UK after spending along time away things were different, music CDs were everywhere, and at first he completely rejected this process, and since then has embraced but really only to play his own Music that he has produced, he still prefers to use vinyl, still playing the old stuff, as he put it “ most the music I got in boxes you pull it on a crowd nowadays they love it ! this is this the mest Eras that the new school missed out on”
